New Jersey Motorsports Park offers community a safe, family friendly ‘Trunk or Treat’ Oct. 20

MILLVILLE, NJ (October 19, 2017)New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) is calling all Trick-or-Treaters to the annual ‘Trunk or Treat’ being held at the NJMP Finish Line Pub on Friday, October 20 from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m.

Trunk or Treat is a free Halloween event where participants open their trunks, or backs of their vehicles, decorate them, and pass out candy to children 12 and under. Candy should be provided by the owner in each “trunk” entry. Last year, over 30 vehicles participated in the annual community event, providing a safe, family friendly alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.

New for 2017, NJMP has partnered with the Cumberland County SPCA adding a ‘Paws in the Park’ event element. The CCSPCA will host a pet costume contest, as well as have adoptable pets and local vendors on site. Trunk or Treat participants are encouraged to bring their furry family members along to enjoy all the Halloween fun.

Car participation is not mandatory but highly encouraged! People who would like to bring their vehicles to participate can register by emailing info@njmp.com or completing the following registration form.

“This event offers families a safe and secure place to trick or treat instead of the traditional going door to door,” said Mark Verrastro, NJMP General Manager. “We (NJMP) offer a safe family friendly event for the community to enjoy.”

In addition to trick-or-treating down the rows of theme-decorated trunks, NJMP will offer free pumpkin decorating for kids, live music, $1 hot dogs, hot chocolate, and additional food and beverage specials at the Finish Line Pub. Pumpkins for the kid’s craft have been donated by The Freshwave Fruit & Produce Company.
