Villas at Breighton and Breighton Garage Villas coming to NJMP

Fully-featured properties offer spectacular views of Thunderbolt Raceway

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park recently gained final approval for two real estate expansion projects – the Exotic Car Garages at Breighton, a.k.a. “Man Caves,” and the second phase of The Villas at Breighton, a trackside condominium community.

Designed to accommodate every enthusiast’s wants and needs to properly house their race car, motorcycle, RV, or boat, the Exotic Car Garages will offer a full array of features and services including custom lofts and entertainment space.

New Jersey Motorsports Park hosting annual Job Fair on February 6

Park representatives prepared to meet with potential employees for upcoming season

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park will be hosting its annual Job Fair on Wednesday, February 6th, 2013 at the Officers Club on Thunderbolt Raceway, located at 47 Warbird Drive in Millville.

The event will go from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with open positions in seven departments including karting, security, food & beverage, registration, track operations, housekeeping, and maintenance.

“We’ve had success finding new employees at our job fair each year and with the 2013 race season approaching, we have a lot of positions to fill,” said Lori Pratt, NJMP’s Accounting and HR Coordinator. “With the qualified people living in in the area, we want to support the community by hiring locally.”

Representatives from other organizations including, but not limited to, TD Bank and Integrity Staffing are scheduled to appear to interact with attendees as well.

Pratt notes that attendees should “dress to impress” and bring their most up-to-date resumes to the fair.

NJMP announces ‘new and improved’ Open House on March 2nd

Free tickets, parking, on-track experiences, and karting sessions highlight 2013 kick-off event      

MILLVILLE, N.J. – Take two! New Jersey Motorsports Park is preparing for its second annual “Open House” on Saturday, March 2nd, with gates opening at 9:00am.

Due to the overwhelming nature of last year’s fan response, access to this event will be limited to the first 8,000 register for free tickets, which are available online at www.njmp.com/openhouse

In addition to entry, ticketholders will have the opportunity to take advantage of complimentary parking, free 3-lap karting experiences on one of two F1 New Jersey’s tracks, and free car and motorcycle laps on one of NJMP’s two world-class road courses; along with vehicle/hero displays and vendors.

Items at NJMP’s concession stands will be deeply discounted, as part of a $1 food menu throughout the Park.

Fans will also find the opportunity to win event tickets, merchandise, and gift cards for the 2013 season at various activities stationed around the property.

“In 2012, we were expecting a few thousand fans coming out to NJMP for this event,” said general manager Brad Scott. “We ended up getting over 9,000 people coming through the gate. It wasn’t something we were prepared for, and it showed. This year, we’re ready with a plan that will make the day more accessible and enjoyable for everyone attending.”

The Finish Line Pub, located at the heart of New Jersey Motorsports Park, will also be open, complete with $5 burgers and $3 kids’ meals, among other specials.

Monster Truck Rides, pony rides, and a Kids’ activity zone will also be present at the Park for this 2nd annual event, both available at an additional cost.

Daytona 500 Party at NJMP to Benefit Green Flag Children’s Charities on 2/24

Fans can win a same-day hot laps experience with 2009 Rolex 24 at Daytona champion David Donohue, who is scheduled to be in attendance.

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park is set to host its fifth annual Daytona 500 party to benefit its Green Flag Children’s Charities.

Doors to the Finish Line Pub, located at the heart of NJMP, will open 11:00 a.m. The 55th running of the “Great American Race” will be shown on two big screen TVs, plus three clubhouse HDTVs. The race is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Those who purchase tickets in advance will also have the opportunity to win one of two hot laps ride-along experiences with Rolex 24 at Daytona winner David Donohue, who is scheduled to attend the event in Millville. Dozens of door prizes will also be up for grabs throughout the afternoon; including 2013 NJMP race tickets.

Owners of custom, historic, and classic street cars are invited to bring their hot rod for a chance to win “Best of Show” at no charge. The winner will receive a 2013 NJMP VIP season pass.

The cost is $35 per person and includes complimentary soft drinks, the pub’s famous “Non-Stop” Daytona 500 buffet featuring soup du jour, tossed garden greens with assorted dressings, fresh baked breads, slow roasted top round of beef with creamy horseradish sauce, penne primavera, sausage, peppers and onions with rolls, assorted chicken wings with bleu cheese and celery, French fries and mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots, fresh baked brownies and chocolate chip cookies, and freshly brewed coffee and hot tea.

“The General’s Store” to open at NJMP’s Thunderbolt Raceway


Grab-and-go shop will offer convenience items, NJMP souvenirs, racing supplies   

MILLVILLE, N.J. – When racing returns to New Jersey Motorsports Park later this year, fans and competitors alike will have a new location where they can buy everything from beer to batteries.

The General’s Store will be at the base of The Officer’s Club, located within the Thunderbolt Raceway paddock. Operated by NJMP, the outlet will offer racing supplies in addition to convenience products and NJMP-branded souvenirs.

Store visitors will be greeted with a lounge area at the front of the store, complete with comfortable seating, televisions, and a charging station for electronics.

The store will boast a great selection of automotive racing equipment; offered through a partnership with Virginia-based OG Racing, a distributor for some of the most widely-known manufacturers in racing.

“We look forward to this partnership with New Jersey Motorsports Park,” said Bill Love, president of OG Racing. “It will give New Jersey Motorsports Park the opportunity to provide the racers and fans a world class Pro Shop stocked with some of the best names in motorsports accessories,”

OG Racing products will be shipped from the company’s 12,000 square-foot warehouse in Sterling, Virginia, according to Love.

“We’re very excited to be working with OG Racing and our other partners to bring this very convenient concept to New Jersey Motorsports Park,” said NJMP general manager Brad Scott. “There’s something for everyone at The General’s Store, not only for the competitors, but for fans looking for something to take home,”

A variety of official New Jersey Motorsports Park-branded items will be sold at the location, as well, including apparel, glassware, and travel accessories.

The General’s Store is projected to open prior to the first major spectator event on NJMP’s 2013 schedule.

NJMP Announces 2013 “Compressed Air Equipment F1 Karting Championship Series”

Series set to offer another season of competitive racing at New Jersey Motorsports Park

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park is proud to announce another year of partnership with Compressed Air Equipment to form the “Compressed Air Equipment F1 Karting Championship Series.”

As in previous years, competitors in classes ranging from Cadet Karts to Shifters will be going head-to-head on a variety of course configurations at the F1 Karting facility, with select classes offering a $500 minimum purse prize for the champions.

The New Jersey-based series has provided accessible, thrilling competition in Millville since its inception and looks to build on a successful 2012 campaign.

“The Compressed Air Equipment F1 Karting Championship Series should and will be a destination for kart racers in the Northeast this season and for years to come.” said the series’ Director of Competition, John Maesky.

New Jersey Motorsports Park announces partnership with Sportbikes Inc. Magazine

Relationship will take effect for AMA, AHRMA events at Millville facility in 2013 

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park announced today a recently finalized marketing partnership with Sportbikes Inc. Magazine.

The agreement will allow the Park and the monthly publication to work together in promoting and building additional partnerships for the two premiere motorcycle road racing events taking place in New Jersey during the 2013 season.

“I feel that my diverse motorcycle/moto-entertainment network will serve the partnership with NJMP very well,” said Allan Lane, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Sportbikes Inc. Magazine and owner of Hard Knocks Motorcycle Entertainment.

Lane has spent over 10 years in the industry, and has been a longtime supporter of New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Expansion of track day schedule, enhanced programs among changes

MILLVILLE, N.J. – A tentative schedule of 40 dates from March to November has been released to members, with track days taking place on both Thunderbolt and Lightning Raceways.

In addition, special guest appearances, on-and-off track competitions, destination trips to local attractions, and a members-only race series are just a few of the opportunities have at their disposal next year.

Levels of membership now begin at just $5,000 at the Transitional level, which allows the member a one-year trial-like period before the opportunity to upgrade to a family membership.

Junior, Senior, Group, Corporate, and Joint memberships are also available at various price points with different levels of included benefits.

“After years of demands from pro racing, the Drivers Club is simply enjoyable. The environment is relaxed and there is more than enough track time on member days,” said a member in a recent survey.

In 2013, participants will be pleased to find NJMP’s Food and Beverage staff once again pulling out every stop during each track day, providing themed meals throughout the season at the Officer’s Club and Finish Line Pub, both located on the Park’s property.

Membership at New Jersey Motorsports Park also includes discounts on track rentals, VIP suite and garage rentals, complimentary use of event garages on Thunderbolt track days, and the opportunity to receive professional instruction on all track days.

All members are also issued complimentary trailer storage space, an F1 New Jersey karting membership, and access to major spectator events at NJMP.
