MILLVILLE, NJ – March 14, 2012 – For the 2012 season New Jersey Motorsports Park’s (NJMP) F1 Karting is excited to partner, for the fourth year in a row, with Compressed Air Equipment for the “Compressed Air Equipment F1 Karting Championship Race Series.”

With this partnership, champions of the five most competitive classes: Rotax Jr., Rotax Sr., Rotax Masters, Tag Sr. and Shifters, will be going head to head for a shot at winning a minimum of $500 for their efforts on the track.

“Our ‘Dash for Cash’ program will add a new element to our club race series, and bring the already competitive atmosphere to the next level,” stated John Maesky, Assistant Manager F1 Karting, NJMP.

“As a fellow karting enthusiast and racer myself, I am truly proud this year to be an even bigger part of this growing racing series at NJMP as the Title Sponsor,” stated Adam Pettit, President, Compressed Air Equipment. “I look forward to the series bringing out some of the fastest kart racers in the Northeast— which will bring that much more excitement to this year’s season,” added Pettit.

MILLVILLE, NJ – March 11, 2012 – For New Jersey Motorsports Park’s (NJMP) Open House, titled “Come Experience New Jersey Motorsports Park,” on Sunday, March 11, 2012 the number of attendees may have approached 10,000 people.

“With the spectacular weather of sunny skies and a 60-degree forecast we welcomed car, motorcycle and bicycle riders as well as families and couples, plus groups of friends and associates— most being first-time visitors to NJMP,” stated Brad Scott, General Manager, NJMP.

The Park expanded to full-capacity in all areas of activities within hours of opening the gates as visitors took in all the sights & sounds the free admission event had to offer.  NJMP accommodated hundreds of free karting sessions and track laps for cars, motorcycles and bicycles, and served more than 6,000 concession menu items while guests enjoyed hundreds of Monster Truck rides and Kids’ Activities as well.

“We want to thank everyone who came out to kick-off the 2012 season with us, and are well aware that the lines to enter NJMP and for some of our activities were longer than anticipated – even to us – and we will be ramping up our efforts to combat that in the future,” added Scott.

We encourage everyone to take our survey regarding the Open House event, and be entered to win a $100 gift certificate to NJMP for taking the survey, by visiting http://www.njmp.com/2012-open-house-survey.html#

Mid-day updates for JSC Speed Rallycross presented by Tony Carbajal:http://rally-america.com/VenueFiles/2012_NJMPRC1_NJMP1%202012%20Qualifying.pdf

NJMP and Rally America U.S. Rallycross Series are proud to announce that the 2012 NJMP JSC Speed Rallycross, presented by Tony Carbajal, will take place on Saturday, May 19. This new event format for 2012 offers a Rallycross Race, featuring Rally-style cars, where five drivers line up to start all at once piloting high horsepower compact cars jumping and sliding through race traffic over a challenging short road course, made up of pavement and gravel, featuring jumps, unbanked turns, hills and transitions. During the race, each car must also take a “joker” lap at some point during their heat.  A “joker lap” is a small detour normally over a jump that adds a level of unpredictability to the heat’s outcome by changing a driver’s strategy in an instant.

Millville native and up and coming Rallycross driver Kyle Gagliardi will take part at this years event. He is sponsored by Design Wraps and is driving a 2002 Ford Mustang GT.
