Donald Fauerbach
Founder, NJMP Green Flag Committee
As founder of the New Jersey Motorsports Park Green Flag Committee, Donald Fauerbach has been very instrumental in the progress of NJMP. An avid Motorsports enthusiast, he has raced motorcycles professionally for 8 years, and has owned and operated ARCA and NASCAR stock car racing teams.
Known for his tenacity and business marketing skills, Fauerbach has put his love for motorsports into helping guide the $100 million plus NJMP project through the maze of environmental, state, and FAA approvals. His knowledge of motorsports, close relationships with New Jersey legislators, along with his strong environmental background has proven invaluable for the success of NJMP.
Fauerbach has worked as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors (NJCM) since 1992, leading Mayors and elevating NJCM to its current state and national leadership status. He previously worked for Wheaton Industries as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Scientific Instruments division. During his 29 year career there, he supervised the design and development of many innovative cell culture research instruments including the first computer controlled bioreactor to be made available to science from production. He graduated first in his class from Salem Technical Institute in 1967.
Co-founder of Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River and Its Tributaries in Cumberland County in 1979, Fauerbach has received numerous environmental awards including the New Jersey Audubon Society Conservation Award, The President's Volunteer Action Award from George Bush, and the Law Day Liberty Bell Award from the Cumberland County Bar Association.
Fauerbach is currently the General Manager of New Jersey Motorsports Park. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Wheaton Village, and the Millville Army Air Field Museum.
He resides in Maurice River Township with his wife of over 35 years, Toni.
