Millville, N.J. (May 5, 2009) - South Jersey Healthcare and the New Jersey Motorsports Park are pleased to announce that Dr. Dean DeBroekert has been named the park’s first medical director. Dr. DeBroekert is a member of the South Jersey Healthcare Medical Staff specializing in emergency medicine and practices in the Emergency Rooms at SJH Regional Medical Center in Vineland, SJH Elmer Hospital and the SJH Bridgeton Health Center.
In this new role, Dr. DeBroekert will assist Motorsports Park staff and emergency rescue personnel in developing medical care standards for injured or ill drivers.
“Dr. DeBroekert has a great deal of experience in motorsports car racing and emergency medicine,” said Robert Smick, MD, medical director of South Jersey Healthcare Occupational Health Services. “He will be a tremendous asset for the raceway team and we would like to wish him well in his new position.”
“We welcome Dr. DeBroekert’s continued medical expertise to New Jersey Motorsports Park,” said Kevin Wittman, New Jersey Motorsports Park General Manager. “Our first priority is the safety of our participants, and Dr. DeBroekert will help that.”
