Arie Ouimet Teaches the Tricks of the Trade of Karting
Ouimet available for private instruction & kiddie kart programs
CRG America driver Arie Ouimet has been named F1 New Jersey’s Karting Professional at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Ouimet has a wide variety of driving experience, including nine years of racing for CRG America, and will instruct drivers at the Millville, N.J. karting complex beginning this season.
Ouimet has won three national championships while racing karts in both the Middle East and Europe, and became the first American born karter to win a race in the international Rotax competition. Ouimet has also won a Skip Barber Regional Scholarship and competed in selected Skip Barber events.
“For such a young man, Arie possesses the credentials of a driver twice his age,” said Brad Scott, general manager of New Jersey Motorsports Park. “Arie has the ability to relate to both young drivers and more experienced karters, and his accomplishments speak volumes about his abilities.”
In 2010, Ouimet won the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup scholarship and competed in a full season of racing clean diesels at some of the most challenging race tracks in North America. He also was also selected to compete for the Team USA scholarship which sends two drivers to the U.K. to compete in the renowned Formula Ford Festival.
Dave Davies, of CRG America, said, “I’ve known Arie even before he started racing for us. I have watched him grow from a young driver to an accomplished driver, and now a driving instructor. We look forward to having Arie work full-time with F1 New Jersey and at the CRG America retail store at the track.”
Ouimet will be training drivers on all aspects of kart racing, from beginners to season professionals, including teaching basic karting principles to data acquisition.
