New Jersey Motorsports Park now provides a unique & effective team building event
with The Challenger Obstacle Course.
Team building is an important factor in any environment. Its focus is to 
specialize in bringing out the best in a team to ensure self development, positive communication, leadership skills and the ability to work closely with one another to overcome different challenges.
The Challenger offers a wide range of obstacles, presented to businesses, schools, sports teams, religious or nonprofit organizations designed for improving team performance.
The overall goals of the Challenger Obstacle Course at NJMP is to increase your understanding of working together and group accountability.
For teams 8 or more, The Challenger is rented by the hour and has 4 different format options to choose from.
Format Options (for 2 or more teams competing against each other):
- Pointed- Each obstacle is worth 1 point (11 total possible). If the participant successfully completes the obstacle, he or she earns one point. Once each team member completes the course, all points are added together at the end to determine winning team.
- Relay- 1 member from each team runs through the obstacle course. Once the final obstacle is completed, the team member hands off a baton to the next competitor, who then takes their turn through the course. Continue the pattern until each team member has gone through the course. The team that finishes first wins.
- Mini Grand Prix- This is an individual, timed event. Participants have a designated warm up period and can practice any obstacle on the course during that time. All participants take their turn through the course, with the goal to have the fastest time. The participants with the fastest times all run through the course again, the fastest time wins.
- Timed Intervals: One participant from each team is sent through the course. Each of the other team members are sent through the course 1 at a time in 1 minute intervals. Team members are encouraged to help one another overcome the obstacles. The team that finishes first wins
Exclusive Hourly Facility Rental: 1 Hour Rental-$225, add $200 for second hour, add $150 for every additional hour.
Recommended Group Size vs. Time Frame:
- 15 or less- 1 hour
- 16 to 30- 2 hours
- 31 to 45- 3 hours
- 46 to 60- 4 hours
New Jersey Motorsports Park will provide: descriptions and directions of each obstacle, event coach to help manage event (for groups of 20 or more), air horn for start/finish, stop watches/ timers (2) for timing and scoring, score sheets, baton for relay and a rope and whistle for Tug-o-War.
